Minnesota
The Health Science Libraries of Minnesota (HSLM) met June 5 at the Metro State University Library in St. Paul. The morning was devoted to a workshop by Dorothea Salo, digital repository librarian at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, titled "Copyright: Even the Loons are Licensed." Thirty members attended the afternoon business meeting where the major topic was planning for the Local Assistance Committee of the 2011 Medical Library Association meeting in Minneapolis as well as the 2012 Midwest Chapter Annual Conference. Samanthi Hewakapuge provided a comprehensive update on events, opportunities, grant funding and resources available from the GMR. Several libraries reported staff and/or budget reductions in recent months.

North Dakota
The HSIS (Health Science Information Section) of the North Dakota Library Association (NDLA) will be meeting Sept. 24 at the NDLA's Annual Meeting in Dickinson.

Ohio
