CE in Central Indiana

The Central Indiana Health Sciences Libraries Constorium (CIHSLC) is inviting all of you to attend a CE titled "Redesigning Library Spaces for the Electronic Age" to be held at Sigma Theta Tau on the IUPUI campus in Indianapolis, IN on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Logan Ludwig, Associate Dean of Library and Telehealth Services at the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University will be the instructor. The class is free to CIHSLC and IHSLA members and only $20.00 for all others. This includes a catered luncheon. NTCC Training in the Midwest

The Health Sciences Libraries at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, will be hosting two sessions presented by The National Training Center and Clearinghouse in June, 2008. The first session on NLM Gateway & ClinicalTrials.gov will be held on June 23, 2008. The second session covering PubMed will be held on June 24, 2008.

The Ebling Library at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will be hosting three sessions presented by The National Training Center and Clearinghouse in July, 2008. The first session on NLM Gateway & ClinicalTrials.gov will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. The second Session on PubMed will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2008. The third session on TOXNET will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008.

EBM for Librarians: Appraising the Evidence for Validity

This 3 day class will be offered in Peoria, Il on July 16, 17, and 18, 2008.

"Introduction to EBM: Research Design and Searching Tools" will be covered on Day 1. "Critically Appraising the Medical Literature for Validity" and "Diagnosis and Therapy" will be covered on Days 2 & 3.

COST: $375 Includes 21 MLA CEs, lunch (all 3 days), workbook and materials, coffee, snacks.

CE HOURS: This course has been approved for 21 MLA CE hours.
