About Madison

Downtown Madison is located on an isthmus between two of our four scenic lakes, Mendota and Monona. The Wisconsin State Capitol Square and UW-Madison are linked by the famous State Street pedestrian mall. Take a stroll and you will find dozens of restaurants and stores to shop at. Every Saturday morning late April through early November, Madison hosts the "Dane County Farmer's Market" and it's just outside the conference hotel's front door! Ringing the Capitol Square you'll find eight blocks of great produce, canned goods, cheese, crafts and much more! We look forward to seeing you this fall and visiting our great city!

Getting to Madison

BY CAR

From Minneapolis (4½ hours):

From the North via Interstate 90/94
Take I-90/94 to the Highway 151 exit (southwest)
Heading toward the State Capitol
This is East Washington Avenue, which leads directly to the Capitol Square.

From Green Bay (2½ hours):

From the Northeast via Highway 151
Follow Highway 151 toward the State Capitol
This is East Washington Avenue, which leads directly to the Capitol Square.

From Milwaukee (1½ hours):

From the East via Interstate 94
Turn on Highway 30 into Madison.
Take the "State Capitol" exit off of Highway 30 (E. Washington Ave.)
Follow E. Washington which leads directly to the Capitol Square.

From Chicago (2½ hours):

From the Southeast via Interstate 90
Take the Hwy 12&18 (Beltline) exit to Madison.
Exit I-90 on to Hwy 12/18 (Exit 142A)
Exit 12/18 on to John Nolen Drive (Exit #263)
Turn left on to Broom Street
Turn right on to W. Washington Avenue
Take W. Washington Avenue up to the Capitol Square
Turn right (one way) on to Carroll Street, which leads directly to the Capitol Square.

From Dubuque (1¾ hour):

From the Southwest via Highways 18 & 151
Exit to Highway 151 going north toward the State Capitol
Highway 151 will become South Park Street.
Follow Park Street
Take a right onto West Washington Ave., which leads directly to the Capitol Square.
